Orange Youth A mission of Orange United Methodist Church

Intro

Orange Youth group meets every Sunday from 5-7pm and on Tuesday nights from 7-8pm. Anyone who is in 6th grade or higher is welcome to attend. We always provide a meal on Sunday nights, so bring your appetite. Directions to Orange can be found here. A list of of all upcoming events that youth have planed can be found here.

Mystery Adventure(2010-03-04)

Sunday March 14th - Mystery Destination 4-7 PM

Meet at the church at 4 pm (not 5). We will be going on a mystery adventure. (I would highly recommend wearing tennis shoes and good socks.) We will eat dinner while we are out and return to the church by 7PM. All this can be yours for the low, low price of $15.

But wait there is an added bonus: Bring a friend who is not a regular participant of our Youth group and you can both join in this mystery outing (guaranteed to provide lots of fun) for the same low price of $15! That's right you can bring a friend for free! (or charge them $15 and you attend for free - but don't tell me about it if you do that).

BUT you must act swiftly, space is limited, time is running out. To reserve your place, please contact me by Wednesday March 10th to reserve your spot.

Warning: if enough people do not respond, we will have to cancel this adventure and the youth program that Sunday night will consist of singing led by Jon Lathem (sorry Jon, I just had to throw that in there.)

Pumpkin Patch(2009-10-06)

This year, we will continue to have the Orange Pumpkin Patch. We need people to sign up to help unload on Friday, October 16. We also need people to sign up for the shifts to help sell the pumpkins. Summer Wrap Up(2009-07-29)

We have had such a great summer! We spent a weekend at Stone Mountain in June for AtlantaFest. We worshipped with several different bands, camped, and did all the exciting things Stone Mountain has to offer. We also learned how to make huge bubbles.

We spent a week at Holbrook Campground where we learned how to have Epic Faith. Around 70 teenagers participated in the youth program during campmeeting. We ended it all with a service put together by the youth on Thursday night. This included a powerful drama set to the Casting Crowns song "Set Me Free".

At the end of July, a few of our youth went to Camp Woodlands for a week. We look forward to their return on August 1. I'm sure they will have a wonderful week drawing closer to God.

We are looking forward to the fall. We have many exciting events coming up, including concerts and the annual Orange Pumpkin Patch. Keep checking OrangeYouth.org for more information on upcoming events.
